Assistant Artistic
Director, Laura McCarthy is a
Diploma Fellow of the Cecchetti Council of America, an Associate Examiner,
Recording Secretary on the CCA Executive Board, Assistant to the Scholarship
Chair and a recipient of the Sylvia Hamer Teachers’ Scholarship to England. She
trained and performed at Boston Ballet under E. Virginia Williams, and studied
the Cecchetti Method with Marjorie Randazzo and Nancy Giles. Laura opened the
Nashua School of Ballet in 1971, and was Artistic Director of the Nashua Ballet
Company before moving to Michigan. Currently, she teaches at Randazzo Dance.
Other teaching experiences include seminars and workshops in Michigan and
Illinois. Laura has trained
students that have continued on for careers in companies and as teachers.
